Welcome to my website. I am Todd Schuler. I was elected to the House of Delegates in 2006, where I serve on the House Judiciary Committee. My wife, Colleen, and I live in Overlea. My mother Michelle and my father Bud grew up across the street from each other in the Linover area of Overlea. Mom is a secretary at Loyola College. Dad is construction worker, turned union business agent with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 486. My parents instilled in me the notion that a quality education is important for a high standard of life. They also both believe strongly that we all have a basic dignity, and that a hard days work should be met with fair pay, a safe place to live, and security in ones health care. These values guide me in my decision making today.
I am a proud graduate of Calvert Hall College High School, and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, a small Jesuit liberal arts college, where I recieved a B.S. in political science. I have a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans.
I work as attorney in Essex. Colleen works in investments with M&T Bank. I am a founding member of the Northeast Democratic Club of Baltimore County. I am a member of the American Association for Justice, the Baltimore County Bar Association and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, and a Charter Member of the American Honky Tonk Bar Association.
I believe that our individual rights should prevail wherever possible. I believe in the dignity of working people, and in social justice, and I hope my voting record reflects those principles. And I am passionate about protecting our environment and preserving our natural resources.
